Food Program
A Beacon Of Light In The Community
Masjid Al–Islam’s feeding program feed approximately 800 women, men & children each month. Every week the number of people using this program is increasing.
The Dawah group is at the Masjid every Saturday and Sunday morning feeding, clothing and providing hygiene kits and other services to our neighbors, from 9:00 A. M. to 12 noon. Donations and volunteers are needed to continue making this program a success.
Please Contact Imam Khalid Shaheed or Sis. Clara Muhammad if you would like to sponsor a weekend or make a donation. Volunteers are always needed.
MEN CLOTHES NEEDED!!!
Men clothes are needed for the Outreach Program. Clothes must be clean and in good condition. Please bring them to Masjid Al – Islam.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day
28th Annual MLK Parade Saturday January 16, 2010. CAIR-TX, DFW Chapter goal is to have 500 participants from our community in the parade. Banners or welcome to represent your organization.

Muslim Alliance In North America
(MANA)
Mana’s campaign for Healing and Reconciliation to unite the Muslim community. So we can work together as one body to deal with the needs and concerns of the Muslim community. Masjid Al – Islam was honored to have as its guest last month the staff of Mana. Imam Siraj Wahhaj, Prof. Ihsan Bagby, Imam Zaid Shakr and Imam Qasim Khan.
A reception was held by the Board Members of Masjid Al – Islam and Imam Khalid Shaheed to welcome these distinguished Imams to the City of Dallas and to Masjid Al - Islam.

Al – Zilzal, or The Convulsion
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
When the Earth is shaken to
Her (utmost) convulsion,
And the Earth throws up her burdens (from within)
And man cries (distressed); “What is the matter with her?
On that Day will she declare her tidings:
For that thy Lord will have given her inspiration.
On that Day will men proceed ingroups sorted out, to be shown the deeds that they ( had done).
Then shall anyone who has done an atom’s weight of good, see it!
And anyone who has done an atom’s weight of evil, shall see it.

Bismillaahir-Rahmaanir-Rahiim
Izaazulzilatil-Arzu zilzaalahaa
Wa ‘akhrajatil-Arzu ‘asqaalahaa
Wa qaalal-‘insaanu maalahaa?
Yawma-‘izin-tuhaddisu’akhbaarahaa,
Bi-‘anna Rabbaka ‘awhaa lahaa
Yawma-‘iziny-yasdurunnaasu ‘ashtaatai-liyuraw ‘a’-maalahum.
Famany-ya’mal-misqaala zaraatin khayrany-yarah!
Wa many-ya’mal misqaala zarratin-sharrany-yarah.
