Feeding Our Neighbors
Masjid Al – Islam is committed to feeding the homeless and needy in our neighborhood. Meal are served every Saturday morning at 9 a.m. Donations would be appreciated, to purchase food for a well attended program. Volunteers are always needed. If you would like to participate, come to Masjid Al – Islam.

Special Announcement
The Council on American Islamic Relations, is spearheading and joining other Muslim organizations in the recruiting of Muslims to participate in the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Parade. This is the 27th year. Let all join together in this march, to commemorate the legacy of Dr. King. Parade participants will meet @ Dallas City Hall. January 17, 2009 @ 8:00 am. Masjid Saturday Classes
Taleem classes will be held every second and fourth Sunday of the month at 1: 30 P. M. Classes cover all areas of Islamic Shura.
Imam Khalid Shaheed instructor.
Arabic classes for adults are Saturday
at 8:30 A. M.
Arabic skills: vocabulary, spelling,
dictionary skills and word recognition.

Sisters Quranic Halaqa
The study of Quran. Sisters learning the religion together. Join us every other Saturday from
12: 30 P. M. – 2: 30 P. M. Quranic Study, Hadith and discussions. Jan. 3, 17 & 31, 2009 contact Sis. Sajda at 214- 923-3641. Bring your favorite snack. Thanks to all the volunteers who volunteered at the Kwanzaa Festival.

Maintenance of Masjid
Maintenance of the Masjid is the responsibility of the Believers. Please choose an area you would like to repair.
 Sisters Restroom or Brothers Restroom (Wudu Areas).
 Redirect air vents in musallah.
 Interior patching hole in wall and painting.
 Strips on parking lot.
 Install razor wire on roof.
 Resurface wrought iron cage around air conditioners.
 Install partition to conceal used clothes.
